A rare treat during the week! A run outside! I had nothing clean, of course, so I was wearing the crappiest, oldest pants I have. Oh well. The run was uneventful and sans watch.

I am coming to loathe the high school basketball season. There is something going on every night. My boss, luckily, understands that I can't be at everything. However, I feel guilty about missing stuff. But I shouldn't.

I think I feel guilty because in this survey we gave to our parents, the two comments that bothered me most were: "Don't even know the assistant principal" and "the assistant principal never smiles." Though I shouldn't know who wrote the comments, I do. You better believe I smile whenever I see the mom who wrote the second comment. I do it out of spite.

You have the best smile!

Spite is a very valid reason. Now she either will feel bad about her comment, or will wonder if you know. Either way, you win.

I agree on both counts. I do have an incredibly handsome smile. Also, I am shoving my incredibly handsome face down her throat, so I do win.

I do a lot of things out of spite, I've realized.
