Five miles after eating a chicken wrap at the Knights of Columbus.  It was warmer out today, but not too bad.  Pace was easy, but progressively faster.

It was dark by the time I got home.  One thing I've noticed lately that's a little weird is that I don't particularly care for running in the dark when it's nice out, but during winter it doesn't bother me.  Maybe it's because I have no choice in the winter, or maybe it's the time (usually I run before dinner in the winter) or maybe it just seems darker when the trees have their leaves.  I don't know.  But the last few times I have had to run in the dark I feel hypersensitively alert.

But you know karate, right?

I am trained in the art of the empty hand.

I'm not sure what that means, but my imagination is running wild. Do you like DragonBallZ? They're very powerful with empty hands.

Karate is also called empty hand, or something like that, but I'm really just quoting 30 Rock.

Thirty Rock is too sophisticated for me. I prefer mindless violence.
