Yesterday we cleaned the garage all morning, and I pronounced that and a rousing water gun fight afterward sufficient for a workout.

I also finished a great book that I highly, highly recommend.  It's called Half the Sky and it's about the injustices suffered by women around the globe.  I feel called to action, but I don't know what action yet...The book does give some good steps, though, and I've started looking into some of the aid groups in the appendix.  One site that the book recommends is kiva.org, which I'm familiar with as a banner ad on this site.

Anyway, today I went for a run and Caleb rode his bike with me.  The run was a little long for him.  He got a little tired (and slightly crabby) towards the end, but he did well!

Congratulations on the clean garage. And good for you taking Caleb on your run.

Thanks for the book recommendation. I just joined goodreads.com, which is like facebook in that you have friends, but you share your book recommendations. You should join and then friend me.

Those are some nice bike miles for Caleb, cool. Nice that you could do that.

Life for women sure sucks in the middle east, not sure which areas were mentioned. Actually life sucks for men there too, just not as bad. Either way, Kiva sounds like a good idea.

I love it when the garage is clean. We could use a garage twice as big as the one we have. We keep purging, but that just makes room for more stuff.

I've read some pretty horrifying stuff about women in the Congo. Sounds like an interesting book! That is totally cool Caleb rode with you. Vanessa can't ride a bike yet without training wheels.

Have you ever watched the show Hoarders? That's what my garage looks like. Of course, half the stuff in it's not mine, but still. And don't worry about all the injustices done to women around the globe. Liam Neeson will take care of it.
