Waited till it was getting dark to run again.  It was a hot one.

Ran with the kids .43 miles to my ex-SIL's (this was very slow).  Then I ran a little over 3 on my own.  About a mile into the run as a whole, I looked to the west and noticed some ominous clouds.  The temperature dropped and the wind picked up.  I just decided that I would keep running, but if I saw lightning, I planned to seek some refuge.  It started raining a couple minutes later.

When I ran up to the ex-SIL's house, the kids were outside watching the storm roll in.  Turns out they were worried, just a little bit.  We visited awhile till the rain subsided, then ran slowly back home (by that time it was 9:30).

Those summer T-storms can be pretty violent. Nice that you snuck in a few miles beforehand.

That wood laminate is what we (I) put in at my in-law's house. It does look great when complete. But I don't care how easy they say it is to install, I'll never do it myself again!

That's EXACTLY what we said. We've had enough of "easy" projects that aren't all that easy...so we shelled out the dough to have a professional do it :)

You really are having some heat there in Illinois. Be careful with those storms. They can be dangerous.

That is a late run!
