Out the door at 4:30 to get in these miles.  I'm actually pretty proud of myself--I hit my pace on all the miles I needed to.  I think that after this HM is over I am going to switch to morning running now that it is getting hot (and because I won't be running as many miles).  We'll see if I actually do it :)

2 miles wu.  5 miles at HM pace (7:59, 7:57, 7:57, 7:54, 7:44), 2.8 cool down.

No real update on Luke, other than they kept him on the respirator because of a slight increase in his oxygen levels.  His little lungs are so battered...I also talked to the principal at St. Mal last night.  He was saying that he's not sure exactly what to tell kids, since he has such a range of ages (preschool through 8th grade).  But he also said that a 1st grader woke up yesterday morning and asked his dad if Luke was in heaven yet...

I'm not so worried about Luke anymore.  His condition is in God's hands--and if his fight ends, he will be with God.  I'm more worried about his brother (in 8th grade) and his parents because their struggle will continue.

Great job hitting your target pace.

I'm glad that you're feeling at peace about Luke. But you're right about the struggle for his family. I hope that they feel comforted.

Great run Tracy! You are looking good for the 1/2! I'll keep praying for Luke and his family.

Looks like you nailed the pace. I'm still not used to morning running yet (had to switch a while back - thanks Texas). But I always enjoy my day more, it seems like, when my run is done early.

You're right Fast Joe, I do enjoy getting it out of the way. My only problem is that I only run early when the rest of my day is a marathon (I go straight from work to class from 4-10 tonight). So come 10, I'm going to be tired.

I hope the prof lets us go early.

Yuck... Somewhat feel your pain - I'm doing school online and finally on my last class after 2+ long years writing long, meaningless papers every week. 6 hours sounds painful though! If you run in the A.M. I could see where staying awake might be a problem.

I forget are you running the champaign 1/2?

Glad you are more at peace with Luke. He will be able to feel your more relaxed energy!

Great job getting out at 4:30 in the morning to get in your run!! And great job with the HM pace miles!!

I am continuing to think of Luke, in the peaceful way you portray. It must be hard on his brother and his parents.

4:30 is so early! I am impressed with your dedication. I hope you were able to relax a bit at the end of your busy day. I am glad you are feeling at peace with Luke. Hopefully his family will be able to find that same peace.
