Morning running and I decided yesterday that we should not be mutually exclusive.  Instead I had a date with some work that was just easier to do when everyone was in bed.  I ran a few miles late in the evening, after an earlier failed attempt to run with the kids while they were on their scooters (Eli is not very good on his scooter yet).

Morning running and I very nearly parted ways altogether this morning.  I woke up in the middle of the night to close the windows because it was raining.  When the alarm went off, I said aloud, "I hope it's raining" went to the window, and was loudly disappointed when it wasn't raining.  My husband, who was 1/2 asleep, mumbled "Just go back to bed."  And I did, but jumped out of bed a minute later when I realized that it was morning running or nothing today.  I have class tonight.

So I got out there and did a little more than I set out to do, mostly so that I could make my average during the week 5 miles exactly. I was also faster than I intended (8:37 AP.  Splits:  9:29, 8:56, 8:29, 8:34, 8:21, 8:10 and .6 @ 8:05).  So I'm arbitrarily calling the last 4.6 fast.

I'm glad morning running and I made up.  4 days out of 5 ain't bad, especially for me.  Next week maybe I'll make it out every morning.

I had an affair with morning running once a few weeks ago. I decided that he just wasn't for me. I like my late night rendezvous much better.

Those are some nice splits!!!

KP, I don't anticipate this will last long :)

Morning running can be tough but it is still nice to just get it done and check it off the list. I can only manage 4 days because I after getting up early for days in a row, I need a little extra sleep. 4 out of 5 is a great week of early rising!

You're funny. I'm glad that you and morning running were able to reconcile today.

I'm afraid that I'm sometimes unfaithful to morning running.

Good job getting out there. I'll admit tat I said the same thing this morning except that it is raining and I ended up not going :-P

Bah, you'll get used to it. 4/5 is great for the first week, I think. Nice progressive-looking run as well.

4 out of 5 days is GREAT! And morning running must work for you - it shows in your fast pace today!!

I've been contemplating morning running for the last few weeks. Then morning comes and I forget about contemplating and go back to sleep. It would be nice to get up and get it done. But that is the whole problem, getting up. :) Good job for getting it done this week!
