Just went for an easy run in the middle of a day where I was watching all my nephews and my two.  My mom released me when 2 of them were taking a nap.  I had an hour and I misjudged my distance, so I went longer than that, but it was okay because when I got back, they were still sleeping.  It was pretty humid, but my parents live in Riverside, "a village in a forest."  That is not just a cutesy nickname, either, so most of my run was excessively shaded.  I ran along the river route for part of the run and then turned around and ran it again.

It was a good.

It sounds like a beautiful run.

I think it's good that you're doing easy miles these days. I'm thinking of whether I ought to ease off of speed work and just run easy miles for a while. I may just hold on until after Labor Day and then just go with easy miles for a while. I think that our bodies need a break from speed work periodically.
