I need to check what I ran.  I know we were out for close to an hour, so it may have been longer than what I'm reporting.

First day of practice.  Hooray.  I ran with on of the groups, but ended up hanging back with one of the asthmatic varsity runners who didn't bring her inhaler.  Grrr.  We weren't going too slow, but we were not going that fast either.

Not too slow and not too fast, but it wasn't just right, eh? So you're not Goldilocks.

You got it right! It was definitely not just right. The first 1/2 was okay, but then she started coughing/honking and we fell back from the group we were running with. She's been scolded already for not bringing her inhaler.

I also told her I think I'm faster than she is right now (although she'll be running sub-20 3 miles midseason and I don't think I have that ability) to try to get her pumped up. She didn't appreciate that comment from me.

Maybe she'll start bringing her inhaler then and try to prove you wrong ;)

That's exactly what I'm hoping. I did smoke her again today, though!
