Had a decent run until the end.  Some cramping at around mile 5, and then it hit me pretty hard right around the start of mile 8.  Was running at 9min average and then the last mile or so was mostly a run, but I had to walk a couple times to ease the cramp.  Made it inside just in time.  Now life is good.  I did, though, forget to stop my watch at the end of my run, so while I know my last registered mile was 9:44 (combo run/walk), I don't know my overall avg.

Congratulations on making it outside!

It looks like you got some new shoes. How are you liking them?

Also, remembering to stop and start the Garmin at appropriate times takes some getting used to, I think.

Yeah great job! Not so good with the cramping.

Carolyn reminded me of new shoes with her comment--I"m wondering if I should start wearing my new ones. Maybe that is why my knee is acting up...hmmmm

New shoes = great. I got the exact same ones that I just got finished using. I could feel my heel kinda twinging right in the beginning of the run, but felt good while running. As always, it's a little sore when I'm not wearing shoes, but I expect it will improve with the new shoes.

I also got some smart wool socks after reading about yours, Carolyn. They were comfy.

My feet and lower legs always start to act up when my shoes are getting old, April. Maybe try some new shoes and see if that's the issue.

Wow Tracy the way you are starting to put the miles in you are going to get into some serious PR territory with races.
