Didn't run with the kids today.  They ran while I was in a faculty meeting, so I was on my own.  Ran 20 minutes warm up, 10 minutes fast, 20 minutes cool down.  The sad thing was that for 6 of the 10 fast minutes I was running into 23 MPH wind (gusting up to 31 MPH).  So while I was exerting myself, I was still moving only slightly faster than my warm up.  It was that kind of wind that makes your eyes tear up.

I'm sure you got quite a workout in that wind even if your pace doesn't show it. I remember those East Central Illinois winds. They are wicked.

It was windy up here too! And I love the weather but I do not like to run in the wind...which is why I still enjoyed the weather b/c today was an off day for me! LOL

Oo I hate running into "wall wind". That wears me out faster than running uphill-but it's a heckuva workout!
