An easy time on the gazelle while watching the Illini annihilate Iowa.  Heel feels mostly better.  I stopped periodically to stretch because the way I favor it makes my calf tight (I am working on not favoring it, but sometimes when I've been sitting for a while, the first few minutes of walking are pained).  I'm wearing dress shoes for the first time this week.

So I saw that I was sorta wearing a hole in my heals. They are fairly comfy besides that one spot. So I got these cool jelly things (buy them at famous footwear) and the shoes feel much better. this is also my first week wearing heals five days in a row in a LONG time!

Go Fighting Illini!

I pretty much wear dress shoes only on Sundays.

Good luck with the heel and the calf.

My kids wear uniforms. I find it hard not to feel guilty when I wear gym shoes and they can't. So I only wear them when I'm having feet issues, which happens occasionally.

But I NEVER wear heels. I'm tall enough and they do more harm than good anyway.

Sorry your heel has been bothering you. I'm glad it is starting to feel better. It is not fun to try and run and be hurt.

Oh man I hope that heel gets better soon. Heel pain stinks...a lot. Does that Gazelle work you pretty hard(that's that Chuck Norris ski machine thing right?)

April, it doesn't work me very hard. I just, when I'm going long, try to keep my heart rate at what would normally be 9-10 minute pace running and then I call it 8 miles after 80 minutes.

One benefit of it is that I can use my body weight to work my arms and I can do adduction/abduction on it.

You're thinking of Nordictrack (I think). This was endorsed by Tony Little, a short, muscular man with a curly blond-ish really long ponytail.
