I run with God. I use my running time to contemplate, to pray and to listen for His call. I'm married to a non-runner, but a supportive one, and we have four children.

It was much cooler today (80 or so) with low humidity.  The run today felt nice.  I have had (to use a euphemism) some pesky body cleansing since Saturday.  I don't know if it was something I ate or if it was just post-vacation illness, but it finally stopped today.

I always hesitate to get personal on the blog, but I've been feeling down lately.  I'm still trying to get pregnant, but it hasn't happened yet.  May was the first month we resumed our quest and I didn't do anything drastically different with running.  After going to the doctor, June was an experiment in running less in duration.  July was still low miles and slower speed.  Especially this month, that egg didn't stand a chance (gross, sorry), so now I'm assuming that I'm still not ovulating. I had no difficulties getting pregnant with Caleb or Eli.  I was running when they were conceived, but not as many miles per week and I think maybe 4-5 days.

This month I'll run less frequently and see, maybe 3-4 days.  I have been playing phone tag with my doctor the past few days.  Now I'm just worried that there is something wrong, I guess.

Stop worrying! It will happen. Isn't it always when you stop trying to get prego is when you get prego? Atleast that has been observation. And if it is a period/ovulation thing you and your doc will get it all worked out!

Great run today!

Tracy, I'm sorry you still haven't gotten pregnant, and remember you talking about it a few months ago. As April said, sometimes it happens when you least expect it. That is what happened with me - I was very surprised to have 2 more kids back to back when I was about 40! Of course it would've been nice to be able to plan things a bit better . . .)

I do hope things work out for you. Take care, Adele

Scaling back on running (something I presume you really love) for the sake of family is definitely a commendable sacrifice. Good luck!

(((Tracy))) Hang in there! I know you must be terribly frustrated! It will be a grand day when I look at your blog and it has finally happened! Maybe after this hot summer is over and the kids go off to school and you are less stressed etc...

Something is wrong when 80 is much cooler.

I'm sorry about your fertility issues. I agree that stress can get in the way. I know it's hard to relax and not worry about it.

It always helps when other people tell me things that I know are logical. It's just hard not to be worried. We've been trying for a long time.
