Just an easy 3.  I've got this annoying, nagging cough.  I hope it stops raining soon.

I hope you're over your cough by Saturday. If you're not, or if it's pouring rain, we can postpone our little event.

It's never going to be perfect in either of our locales. I'll be fine by then. My cough is easing up and supposedly it's supposed to stop raining soon.

I just hope it doesn't snow up by you again--otherwise the track won't clear.

I'm thinking about doing a 2 mile warm up on Saturday (it's about a mile to the track, but I can go several different ways to lengthen the trip). I may need 3 to warm up, but I'm not sure. I guess I'll decide whether I'm warm enough after 2 and then run more on the track if I'm not quite ready.

How much do you usually warm up for faster segments?

From Carolyn in Colorado on Tue, Nov 17, 2009 at 15:35:32 from 198.241.174.15

That's exactly my plan. I usually figure at least 2 miles to warm up. I live about 1/4 mile from the middle school track, but I can take a 2 mile route to get there. I was thinking of doing that and then maybe a little more warmup on the track, up to another mile, if I don't feel quite ready to go. I was wondering if I should do some strides or something to warm up, but I don't want to wear myself out.

I don't think we're expecting more snow before Saturday and I'm hoping that what we've got now will be gone by then.

Glad your cough is easing up. What is your event on Saturday?

From Tracy on Tue, Nov 17, 2009 at 18:02:26 from 173.24.32.153

Carolyn and I are going to do a one mile virtual race, just to see how we fare over the short distance.
