I am having trouble coming by miles lately. I think it's treadmill malaise. I was all set to be able to run outside in the overcast but not frigid day, and then my plans got derailed because Chuck had to do something for work. If I didn't have this ball game tonight, I would just have waited, but I had to use the window available. I got to 4.25, and now I just feel like being done. Hopefully tomorrow will be an outside day, depending on how much snow we get. Forecast is saying 4-8 inches starting tonight. I'm praying we don't get that.

Girls play for state title tonight. Last year they ended up losing the state title in the worst game they've ever played, so I'm praying that tonight they play like they know how.

It was in the 80s here today. Sorry, I don't know why I keep doing that. Anyway, keep up the torture, there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Praying? Didn't you ever watch Angels in the Outfield? God doesn't help you win the championship game.

From Tracy on Sat, Mar 01, 2014 at 16:49:59 from 50.103.252.199

Yes, Joe. I get it. Your weather is better than mine. I have no idea why people even settled here.

Burt, notice that I didn't say I was praying for a win. I said I was praying that they play their game. This is a team that has soundly defeated opponents all season, the same as last year. But last year they fell apart in the state final game. Like scored only 29 points when their season average was somewhere in the 60s. I'm just praying that doesn't happen again. It was hard to watch.

Praying for no snow? Haven't you ever watched Lord of the Rings?

I don't get that reference. And girls won. 70 something to 30 something.

It was the only movie I could think of with snow. Except the Cuba Gooding Jr. classic, Snow Dogs. Shoulda went with that one. Anyway, congratulations lady Bulldogs!

What's your mascot name? I'm guessing Bulldogs.

From Tracy on Sun, Mar 02, 2014 at 19:17:16 from 50.103.252.199

Sabers.

From Burt on Sun, Mar 02, 2014 at 19:28:31 from 71.223.117.24

Hmm...must be a lot of Star Wars fans in that area. They're certainly not Snow Dogs fans.

From Burt on Sun, Mar 02, 2014 at 19:29:19 from 71.223.117.24

Speaking of Star Wars fans, I knew a guy that wanted to name his son Anakin Skywalker, but his last name was Smith, so he decided with the initials, that wouldn't be a good idea.

I really used a lot of commas in that last sentence.

From Tracy on Sun, Mar 02, 2014 at 19:34:35 from 50.103.252.199

That string of comments is random, but made me laugh out loud.

Mascot is Sabers, like saber-toothed tiger. But now I'll have to mention the pun to some of the awesome nerds at school and have them make something out of that.

I'm picturing a pretty cool t-shirt. Burt, so clever.

From Burt on Sun, Mar 02, 2014 at 20:06:15 from 71.223.117.24

I'll autograph them for $5/shirt.
