I will probably start to blog more faithfully now.  I probably will not catch up on everyone's blog until this weekend.  This is finals week and grades are due at 3 on Friday.  I will be grading myself silly during this week.

Running hasn't been great,  but I've kept relatively consistent.  Except for last week.  I had a sour tummy and troubles all week.  It's hard to run when you're about to have some sort of explosion any minute.  I did feel better by Friday, but I had class on Friday and Saturday.  By the time I got home Saturday (at 4) I just figured that missing one more day wouldn't make much of a difference.  What the heck, right?  I am basically starting over as far as running is concerned anyway.

BUT

I am done with my master's!  Hooray!  I am happy to be done.  Getting all of my work finished has been my #1 stress for the last two months.  I never have to go to class ever again.  I never have to write another paper ever again!  Now I just have to wait till February to see if I might have a new job next year...

Congrats on finishing your masters. I know this is a major accomplishment both from my own education and from seeing happy students of mine each spring. Hope you have a little more time for running. Although running while in school helps to maintain sanity sometimes.

Yeah for your Masters! What new job? different h.s.?

I need to tell my principal tomorrow that I want her to consider me for a classroom position next year (I thought it was assumed but something she said today made me think otherwise)

Thanks Kevin and April! I'm happy to be done! April, I may have the opportunity to be the assistant principal at the same school I'm working at now. I won't know for sure until February--the principal has been preparing to leave and will announce if he is actually resigning then.

Yeah, you better tell your principal--you'd hate to get passed over for a classroom position next year!

Already? Principal? Are you ready to leave the classroom? How fun!

I already told her this morning! I was so nervous but basically she said she assumed I wanted it. But I feel better knowing that I know that she knows. LOL

I'm ready to leave the classroom. At least mostly. But I'd be assistant principal, not principal. I'm not sure I want to ever be the principal at my current school. Too much politics. Our principal is more like a superintendent. That's a job I never want.

being principal is political! I wouldn't think beign assistant would be less political though?

Nice job on the Masters and welcome back. I'm sure you are looking forward to the winter break. I definitely had those exact same thoughts about "no more papers!" when I finished it earlier this year. It's nice to get the monkey off your back.

I think the running will come back to you sooner than you think!
