Ran out to the farm. Ran some country roads. Didn't encounter many cars.

An easy 4 miles in the dark. While I was running down 45, someone pulled into a parking lot across the street. Then I heard him say "hey sweetheart, what are you doing here?" I don't believe he was talking to me, but I ran just a little faster and avoided eye contact.

Nice and easy miles.

I am trying to figure out the best time of day to run. Now that Chuck comes home later, before dinner is not the best time. But neither is after dinner. Looking forward to a time when my kids can stay home by themselves...

These miles were really slow. I ran with the girls cross country team. They had a race the next day, but they were taking it reeeeeeal easy. Too easy. We chit chatted about school stuff, then did some barefoot strides on the football field. I could have done more miles in the time if I had gone by myself, but it was worth it.

Then I took he fastest shower I have ever taken. When I was headed into they locker room, the pe teacher reminded me that the other team was about to show up and I was paranoid that I would get trapped in the pe office bathroom. So I was out in like 2 minutes. And then I stalked back to my office to get ready the rest of the way. Fun. Thank God back to back homecomings are almost done. Dance should be fine, but I still have to be there.

Picked up the pace at the end.

When I returned home, I had something bright green floating on the surface of my eye. It was small and I thought it might be a bit of grass. When I got it out, I think it was actually some sort of larvae. But I'll try not to think about that too much.

Took a day off today, so ran in the mid morning. The run was pretty good (8:30 AP), but I had to stop once because of cramping (not due to speed), once when I found a bathroom, and then once right before mile 8 because I was afraid I was going to mess myself. I didn't. Phew.

Not a great running week, but a good other life week.

Four miles on the treadmill. I have been exhausted lately. For some reason I felt particularly exhausted after this run. I think it's partly the change in weather.

I did not wake up earlier enough to run four because I misjudged the time I needed to wake up. If I was a different person, I'd hop on the treadmill tonight. I'm probably not that person, especially today, since it's yet another 13 hour day. I am determined to run4 days this week. Should be fine because we have a half day tomorrow and no home football game.

It's October 24th, just remember.

This is the first run I've had in a few weeks that felt relaxed. I've been rushing to squeeze miles in, which always makes it seem more like a chore, so I needed this run. The first two miles were an easy, slow warmup. Then I started feeling peppy towards the end. First mile started at about 9:20 and then a steady downward trend to end with a 7:45 mile.

Also, it us really 10/25.

Another pretty good run. It was 45 degrees, but shorts still worked because it was sunny. There were a couple really windy segments, which was not run. I was glad I wore an ear band. AP was 8:48.

Four miles late in the day. Crabby. No real reason.

Easy miles, but a nice pace. It was windy. I ran from school, but left the immediate vicinity because I wanted more miles. It is sometimes harrowing to do this. today wasn't bad. need to catch up on what others are up to as far as running goes.

Just realized that I put all entries this week on next week. Too lazy to change. This is really October 19. This week was another poor running week. Lots of evening stuff for each school. We had our open house for future students on Wednesday and had a great amount of interest. It was really nice. The rest of the week was a whirlwind of senior nights and soccer games and band concerts and football. October is the cruelest month for that. I think the upcoming week (or last week, according to my blog) will be calmer.

This was a run I was glad I talked myself into.  I have had a crabby two days (and was a little under the weather), and thought about skipping this run.  And this needed to be a treadmill run, too, so that only contributed to my thoughts about skipping it.  However, I was happy to squeeze in some activity.  It really does help me de-crab.

Another treadmill run. Today was a much better day at work, and I am hoping that I will be able to get back in a running groove. We'll see.

3 happy Halloween treadmill miles after a rainy trick or treat session. Charlotte did not like any people wearing masks, and yelled "guy" at them while simultaneously trying to merge her body into mine.
