I had the most fun run.  After Caleb woke me up at a ridiculous hour and after an unsuccessful 1/2 hour of making him lay back down to go to bed, I decided to go for a run.  And Caleb decided to go with me on his bike.

At first we were going to go around the block a few times, but he decided that we should ride around town.  We went to school, to his aunt's house (she wasn't awake yet), to church, to Ott's (for some suckers), past Brendan's house, and then back home.  He was pretty energetic the whole time.  And he was SOOOO excited to share with everyone where we went!

3 easy miles before dinner.  This was the first time I've worn pants to run for a while, but it was really overkill.  I wasn't dying of heat or anything, but I would've been fine in shorts.

This week was just exhausting.  Lots of extra time at work.  I WILL get back on track.

Went to watch my hubby's cousin in the Chicago marathon.  We set up our plan so we could see him a bunch of times and then I went with his wife and son to run with him for a couple miles.  He wanted to run @ 11 min pace and was ahead of that pace for the first 1/2. When we were waiting for him at mile 20 we waited....and waited...and waited.  He came through way later than expected.  Leg cramps.  He shuffled along and we shuffled with him for 4 miles (I'm not counting it).  It was also really hot (over 80) and he was pretty disappointed.

I probably walked over 10 miles today.  But it's always fun to watch the runners.  There was a guy who ran the whole race wearing a giant Eiffel Tower.  It looked heavy.

3.5 easy miles.  When I get out I love running, but I am struggling with motivation right now.

Ahhhhhh.  This is the first week in a long time that I have managed to work out more days than not.  And I had a good run.

Ran with my good friend Colleen, who is training for her first 1/2.  It is next week.  We ran 5 together, she went out for another 5 mile loop, and I went for one more mile, taking Caleb and Haley (Colleen's oldest daughter) out for a little over one more mile.  Then, of course, I had to take Eli and Caty (Colleen's youngest) for an "adventure."  The last bit of running was REALLY slow.

I woke up early to get in some miles because I have to work late today.  The only eventful thing that happened was that I fell right at the end of mile 2.  I must have tripped over the curb or a crack or something.  It was one of those times where I thought I had saved myself, at least until I found myself sprawled out in the street.  I can feel the bruises forming, but at least my clothes saved me from getting too scraped up :)

Luckily no one saw.

An easy 5 in the afternoon.

I went to the cross country regionals in the morning.  The kids did well.  Girls took 2nd place (with the top runner in 2nd) and boys took 3rd (with the top runner in 5th).  They were all pretty happy because they both advance to sectionals next weekend.
