I run with God. I use my running time to contemplate, to pray and to listen for His call. I'm married to a non-runner, but a supportive one, and we have four children.

Ran at the gym.  It would have been a nice day to run outside, but by the time I could've it was already after 4.  I didn't want to get caught in the dark.  I was glad I didn't run outside because when I left the gym, it had dropped more than 10 degrees. 

I hate cold.

I'm glad you have a solution that enables you to keep running in spite of the weather and the dark.

I have vague recollections of running through an East Central Illinois winter, but I think I've blocked it out. I had to call the friend I used to run with to ask her if we really did it. She said we did. However, we ran just 3 miles, 3 days/week in those days.

The funny thing is, I've never felt a burning desire to keep up with running over the winter. I've always been consistent with running most of the year, but give up mid-to-late January to cross train (usually doing crappy work-out videos!!) because I hate cold. Then I resume in early March.

This year I feel different, probably because I have seen improvements in my running (and my motivation) because of this blog. It's also probably because I turned 30 this year. I just wish that I had felt this way all the years before I had kids, when it was actually easy to keep up with running...

And you know, Carolyn, your comments always help me. It's almost like having a running partner who keeps me wanting to run. So thanks :)
